Q: How Race Time is Calculated?

A: The official time shall be the time elapsed between the start of the watches or timing devices resulting from an appropriate start signal [gun] and when the athlete reaching (sic) the finish line. The actual time elapsed between when an athlete reaching (sic) the starting line and finish line can be made known to the athlete, but will not be considered as official time. Q: What awards are handed out?

A: These awards are presented during the social hour:

• Only one award per person

• Awards for top five male and female winners in the 1 mile

• Kim Huhnerkoch Memorial Trophy to women’s 8K winner

• Ed Kessler Memorial Trophy to men’s 8K winner

• Medals for places 2-10 for male and female in the 8K

• 1st place medals for each age group for male and female in the 8K

• 8k age groups – 07-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49,

  50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-99

• Medals for most pledges and sponsors

• All participants receive ribbons

• Awards not guaranteed if registering on race day
